Dear XebiaLabs community,
We are pleased to announce the latest version of XL Release, 6.2.0, which delivers new features to help teams manage risk, keep track of status and health of all releases in one place, and better control release timing.
- Version 6.2 greatly improves risk awareness capability by introducing a new release risk score. XL release now automatically assesses multiple risk factors to assign a risk score to each release, so teams can predict which releases have a high risk of failure or delays. This insight allows them to solve issues and avoid setbacks before they become significant problems that impact the business.
- The new version also rolls out a new risk-aware Release Overview to provide detailed visibility across all releases. This view, which combines the previous Pipeline View and Overview pages, can be organized by risk, along with other crucial details like due dates, release duration, phases completed, and more. Release managers and IT teams can now more easily view everything they need in one location, with the release risk score front and center for each release. Users can also sort and filter releases to create personalized views of their release landscape.
- 6.2 introduces new Blackout Period functionality. This feature gives teams more control over the timing of their releases so they no longer need to make manual efforts to avoid inconvenient release times, such as holidays or end-of-quarter blackout windows.
Finally 6.2 also includes better monitor task progress, internationalization enhancements, and more.
You can download the release at the XebiaLabs Software Distribution site.
XL Release 6.2.0 is a short-term support (STS) version that will be supported until it is superseded by the next STS or long-term support (LTS) version. For more information, refer to Short-term support/Long-term support policy.
