Dear XebiaLabs community,
We are pleased to announce the release of XL Deploy 7.1.0.
Create and maintain your environments as code
With this release, you can create and store infrastructure data and environment definitions in code, maintained in source control. This environment-as-code feature makes it easier than ever for multiple teams to collaborate on the process of configuring infrastructure. For example, developers can contribute environment-specific information by storing dictionaries alongside application code and synchronizing dictionary values with XL Deploy on demand.
The environment-as-code feature also enables infrastructure automation tools to programmatically update the information stored in XL Deploy; which means that XL Deploy stays up to date as dynamic infrastructure data changes, keeping your Continuous Delivery pipeline running smoothly.
High availability through active/hot-standby support
XL Deploy 7.1.0 also offers high availability through support for an active/hot-standby configuration, so you can ensure uninterrupted service for users, even in the case of a system failure.
Additional features in the new user interface
XL Deploy 7.0.0 introduced a new, HTML5-based user interface, which has been expanded in XL Deploy 7.1.0 to let you:
- Quickly select the latest version of an application and deploy it with one click
- Discover the components of your infrastructure topology and import them into XL Deploy as configuration items
- Easily see which version of an application is deployed to each environment in its deployment pipeline
- Use deployment checklists to ensure that criteria are met before an application is deployed to a particular environment
XL Deploy 7.1.0 is a short-term support (STS) version that will be supported until it is superseded by the next STS or long-term support (LTS) version. For more information, refer to Supported XebiaLabs product versions.
