XebiaLabs Support -

Dear XebiaLabs community,

XebiaLabs' Your Mode DevOps approach allows developers to define infrastructure items, environment definitions, and deployment packages as code that can be stored and maintained in source control management. To allow for future improvements to Your Mode DevOps, we will end support for the Deployfile format and the Lightweight XL Deploy CLI with the upcoming XebiaLabs DevOps Platform 8.5.0 release.

Based on user feedback and the industry-wide evolution of the "as code" approach to configuration management, we are developing DevOps as Code: a faster, easier way for you to define and manage infrastructure, pipelines, and more. With the XebiaLabs DevOps Platform 8.5.0 release, you will be able to define infrastructure, environments, packages, and release templates in YAML files that you can maintain in source control management. You will also be able to use a new, lightning-fast command-line interface for both XL Deploy and XL Release to update repositories, execute deployments, and start release processes.

Note: Although we are ending support for the Deployfile format, we will continue to support the Groovy-based Releasefile format.

We look forward to working together to continue to your successful use of the XebiaLabs DevOps Platform. If you have any questions, please contact us and we will assist you.

Best regards,

The XebiaLabs team
