Release Update: XebiaLabs DevOps Platform 9.6 and Integrations

XebiaLabs Support -

XebiaLabs is pleased to announce the general availability of XL Release 9.6 and XL Deploy 9.6. These are minor releases that focus on performance and stability enhancements and that lay the technical foundation for future capabilities.

Key features in this release are:

XL Release 9.6

  • Triggers as first-class citizens – triggers have been decoupled from release templates, so you can create polling triggers on both the global and folder level
  • Enhanced delivery with automated transitions – in a delivery, tracked items can automatically transition from one stage to the next, based on conditions you define
  • Configurable minimum password strength requirements for local user accounts
  • Support for Sonatype Nexus IQ Server through an XL Release integration, including integration with release audit reports

A full list of defect fixes may be found in the release notes.

XL Deploy 9.6

  • CyberArk Conjur Dynamic Access Provider (DAP) certification – A joint validation between CyberArk and XebiaLabs for the secrets management functionality in XL Deploy
  • Easier configuration of local permissions – Choose whether to inherit permissions from a parent folder or use permissions configured on the child folder
  • JSON patch dictionaries – Allows DevOps experts to create and enforce JSON path patching rules on environments
  • Performance improvements for placeholder deployments
  • Support for Microsoft TFS 2018/2019
  • XL Deploy no longer uses Derby by default when an external database is not specified. XebiaLabs strongly recommends using an external database, including for trials. To use Derby, follow the procedure described here.
